Introduction to PCB drilling process!
The PCB drilling process is a crucial step in PCB manufacturing, primarily aimed at creating holes on the PCB board for subsequent component installation or wire connections. Let's briefly understand the operational procedure of PCB drilling.
The drilling process is carried out using drilling machines. During the drilling process, a spacer board is placed on the drilling machine table and covered with a layer of cover board. The PCB board is then positioned on the aluminum plate, and holes of various sizes are drilled using different drill bits. The spacer board primarily serves to protect the drilling machine table and clean the debris from the drill bit grooves, while the cover board assists in positioning, heat dissipation, and reducing burrs.
Drilling is mainly categorized into three types: through-hole, blind hole, buried hole. Each type has its own advantages, purposes, and usage scenarios. The differences between through-holes, blind holes, buried holes will be elaborated in the next article.
